Single Entry Visa

A Malaysia Single Entry Visa (SEV) allows a foreign national to enter Malaysia once within a specific validity period, typically 3 monthsIt permits a stay of up to 30 days and is generally not extendable. If you need to return to Malaysia after exiting, you would need to apply for a new visa, as a single entry visa only allows one entry.

Key points about the Single Entry Visa (SEV) for Malaysia:
    • Single Entry: The visa is valid for one entry into Malaysia.
    • Stay Duration: It allows a stay of up to 30 days per entry.
    • Validity: The SEV is usually valid for 3 months from the date of issuance, but can vary.
  • eVISA: Malaysia offers an eVISA system for online application, including the Single Entry Visa.
  • Other Types: There are also other visa types available for different purposes, such as Multiple Entry Visa (MEV) for frequent travel, often for business.
How to Apply:
  • eVISA: You can apply for the eVISA through the official Malaysian Immigration Department website.
  • Documents: You’ll need to provide passport details, documents, and make the payment online.
  • Check Status: You can check the status of your eVISA application online.
Important Considerations:
  • Entry is Not Guaranteed:
A visa does not guarantee entry into Malaysia. The Immigration officer at the point of entry has the final say.
  • Purpose of Visit:
You may need to provide a valid reason for your visit and supporting documents, especially for long-term stays.
